Krill Design, based in Milan, enhance waste from the food chain through a Circular Economy process transforming the resources of nature into eco-design products using new generation biopolymers.
Founded in 2018 by three people Ivan Calimani, Martina Lamperti and Yack di Maio who share a passion for innovation, sustainability and design.
The consideration of the three founders is quite simple. There are already several supply chains that intercept and recover waste from the production of paper, glass and plastic. But for organic by-products of the food chain, there are no virtuous solutions. The three founders converted this problem into an opportunity, experimenting with the creation of innovative materials, which when combined with 3D printing enables a successful and environmentally friendly production process.
Krill Design produce both:
- Eco Design Products (like Ohmie)
and work on
- Circular Economy Projects - helping other businesses. Customers include:
Autogrill - Sanpelligrino - Nestle - Lurpak - Milan City Council and many more
Krill Design has been awarded Best Performer for circular economy services and recognized by the World Economic Forum as an example of sustainability.
Krill Design has joined BeCorp NetZero 2030 programme.
Ivan is a high flyer. At the same time Ivan was also President of the Italian IPMA - YC (International Project Manager's Association - Young Crew). Subsequent to that Ivan became a professor at the Milan Polytechnic one of Italy's top universities.
